The TS Tech Summit in Las Vegas is only a few months away and to get attendees excited for the show, organizers put on a launch party highlighting everything guests get to look forward to. Mirroring the conferences, the launch party was a mix of educational experiences, intimate networking opportunities and first-rate surprises and prizes.

Held at III Forks in Dallas, the event stayed true to the “Mission Possible” theme and showcased a white Ferrari parked out front of the southern mansion with a secret agent onsite for pictures. Networking took place in the garden room where guests mingled amongst plant life, exposed brick walls and sponsor showcase tables. Implementing the latest in event technology, guests exchanged digital business cards with a mobile app from Presdo, which uses LinkedIn to create profiles and set appointments to network without giving out personal contact information.

Lunch was held in a private dining room adorned with glowing globs and accented with yellow and blue lights. Guests enjoyed salads, Chateaubriand or salmon and dessert while listening to educational speakers including Jill Rasco, of Attendee Net, who spoke on crowd technology. After the meal, attendees moved back out to the atrium for the prize drawing. Grand prize, won by Debbie Juett of Corp Tax, was a trip to the TS Tech Conference in April including airfare, a room at Caesars Palace, all meals and registration. Other prizes included a trip to Tahoe and a trip to Atlantic City, compliments of Caesars; $150 in gift cards from III Forks; free Uber rides; and gifts from Michael Kors, Kendra Scott, and Fossil, among others.

The intimate event was attended by a modest 70 people including corporate event managers from companies including Bank of America, Helms Briscoe, Texas Instruments, Maven Uniforms and EMCare. Sponsors included eventPower, Caesars Entertainment, and imagine XHIBITS.

The 2017 TS Tech Summit will take place April 20-23 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Registration for the event is going on now and more details can be found here. Still not sure you should attend? Read below to hear from past attendees:

“If I could have $4,500 cash or a scholarship to this event…I would take the event over the cash. This is has more value for me and my career.” – Rebecca Quinn, TransPlace event Manager

“Talk about setting the bar high, not only is the education and tradeshow great but TS Tech Summit totally does everything first class! Ann from Imagine Xhibits put this on and she seeks out the best tech tools and vendors to share with her attendees. I attended my first TS Tech Summit a couple of years ago at the fabulous Secrets Resort in Cancun. All I can say is “WOW”! Besides being totally spoiled while attending, one of the best things about TS Tech Summit is the intimate event setting. The smaller group size creates a better learning environment. The networking and social events are so much fun. It’s definitely not your ordinary conference, it’s extraordinary! I always return with many valuable contacts, new friends and experiences.” – Michelle Scott, AZZ incorporated

“The TS Tech Summit is such a worthwhile event for planners and sponsors. Not only did I leave the event with a new knowledge of event technology, but I also made real lasting connections with Ann, her team, and the attendees. The event’s unique schedule affords attendees with the time to build genuine relationships while learning in the process. Ann goes the extra mile with every event she plans and the TS Tech Summit is no different. The agenda was packed with fun experiences and surprises. I came home feeling re-energized from learning so much and making new friends that have become trustworthy business partners. It is not an event to be missed!” – Brittany Ryan, TT Electronics

Sponsors made this a luxurious experience for all including host hotel Caesars Palace, hotel sponsors, Groups360, EventPower, EventMobi, MetroConnections. Fossil, DreamRacing, Imagine Xhibits, Inc. Tiger Oak Media, and Broussard Global.

I’ve been spending a lot of time experimenting with sea salt lately. Grilling fish with Meyer-lemon infused salt, adding a pinch of rosemary salt to pinto beans, making a vinaigrette with a smoked sea salt, sprinkling fruit or popcorn with dashes of this or that. A few weeks ago I took the Sea Salt Workshop at the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes. Held the first Saturday of every month, at a cost of $70 per person, the workshops are led by the resort’s chefs.
